Work greatYou take the time to put up a string of lights to line a pathway. Then, a light or two goes out and the whole string stops working. Not with Lumabase. They use "nightlight" size bulbs. When a bulb stops working, I simply and easily unscrew and replace. Meanwhile all the other lights keep working no matter what. (And I pick up a pack night lights at the discount store and they last a long time).Suggest using a long screw driver or the like to make the hole for the stake that comes with the lights. They are plastic. No sense forcing them into hard ground when preparing a small deep hole will do the trick. My original string has been outdoors for over 2 years (rain, snow, frozen ground). Once my "other" string of outdoor lights died (couple of lights stopped working and so did the whole strand), I replaced with Lumabase. We used these lights for our outdoor luminaria bags for Christmas. Every fifth light or so didn't work, even if we twisted, loosened, tightened. Our lights looked incomplete and I'm sending them back.I bought this exact product a year ago and they were great and I wanted to get more so I ordered two more and they were 11 dollars more than last time and I get it because of the supply shortage but when they came they were about 2 times smaller than one year ago so know that if you are re buying this product. These lights weren't very bright and were not resistant to being stepped on. Once one bulb was broken the rest quit working as well.I’m not sure why these lights have so many bad reviews. They’re really beautiful. I have 3 sets connected and lighting my pathway. I had solar lights out before and they were terrible. These provide a warm, bright glow that looks classy. For the price, I couldn’t imagine anything better.I was very careful unpacking these and putting them together. Each bulb is wrapped in tight plastic and I didn’t want them to break so I was slow about the process. The bulbs are easy to fit into the stakes. Some people say these look cheap which caught me off guard. The stakes *are* flimsy, but just use something else to poke the hole where you want the light and nothing will break. Once they’re in, you don’t even notice them and they stay put. I’ve had my lights up and on a timer for over a month now and I’m so pleased.EDIT: Just wanted to mention that these lights held up through over a foot of snow. They still came on their timer every night. Seriously impressed. I’ve only had to replace one bulb. I now have 4 sets lining my path, 3 connected (max limit) and 1 seperate.Totally worth the money. I bought 4 sets to cover our long dark driveway... brighter and better than I expected. Took maybe one hour from start to finish to get all 4 sets attached and in the ground. Did it right after a heavy rain fall so the ground was very soft for the stakes to go in with absolutely no trouble. Not one broke =) I have them hooked up to an outdoor timer that turns them on and off at set times. First night so I'm not sure how long the bulbs will last, but if they last a month, I'm fine with that. Just so thrilled to find reasonable priced electrical outdoor pathway lights... that do NOT require a transmitter... just a regular outlit =) Very easy to connect the bulbs to the stakes... plug in... light the way!Bought three sets of these - at least 2 bulbs from each set were not working upon first plugging them in following the untangling process. I can only assume the filament broke from them GENTLY (I promise we were as gentle as we could be, because they FELT fragile to start with) clacking together while trying to get them straightened out. Here’s the best part (or not…) each pack only comes with ONE RED replacement bulb. They alternate red/green… so I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with that. We made it work until a delivery driver stomped on a green one yesterday and shattered the bulb. So now my red/green pattern is messed up and there’s nothing I can do about it.These are great for lighting up a long sidewalk. A bit cheap in quality.
